HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy GI Lab in San Antonio, TX. This role involves on-call responsibilities during select non-business hours, with a focus on pre-op evaluation, patient education, and peri-operative care to ensure safety and quality outcomes.

You will collaborate with surgeons, surgical technologists, and other staff to support patient-centered care and continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic operating room environment.

Formación

• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment start date.
• Minimum six months of clinical RN experience.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Texas or multi-state compact with Texas license within 60 days.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification per hospital policy (briefing, time out, debriefing).
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including providers, surgeons, and staff.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor during shift, document changes and care provided.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.

Conocimientos

ACLS (within 90 days)

Nursing experience

Leadership/rounding skills

Educación

RN degree (diploma/associate/bachelor)

Texas RN license or multi-state compact
