Job summary

Job Description

The GI unit is comprised of 2 GI labs and features a team of 8 full-time staff and 5 PRN staff members. The environment offers a 1:1 patient ratio, focusing primarily on preoperative and recovery care for patients undergoing GI procedures such as EGDs, colonoscopies, bronchoscopy, and ERCPs. The primary documentation system used is EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to GI patients during preoperative and recovery phases.
• Perform and assist with procedures including EGDs, colonoscopies, bronchoscopy, ION, and ERCPs.
• Ensure effective communication within a team-oriented environment.
• Participate in a weekday and weekend on-call rotation with the staff.

Required Experience

• Experience with preoperative and recovery care for GI patients.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification required.
