Job summary

Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Endoscopy/GI Lab. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week on 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with on-call weekend and rotating weekday call.

The position requires strong clinical judgment, safety focus, and diligent EHR documentation. A BSN is preferred; BLS and RN license are required; typically 1 year of nursing experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and tuition reimbursement on day 1.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing education program.
• Active RN license in state or multi-state compact.
• BLS certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance, quality initiatives and evidence-based practice to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts plans and collaborates with the care team.
• Maintains safety culture and ensures accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Adheres to ANA ethics and delegates appropriately.
