Job summary

CareWell Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the Endoscopy Unit. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures in a fast-paced setting, communicating with the surgical team, and ensuring accurate documentation and patient education.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in a related healthcare position, an NJ RN license, and BLS certification, with prior endoscopy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current NJ RN license to practice.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum two years in related healthcare position; prior endoscopy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Follows the nursing process for patients admitted to same day surgery for endoscopy, OR, IV therapy, minor surgery, or IR procedures.
• Communicates with surgeon, endoscopist, interventional radiologist, anesthesia care provider, etc.
• Assists patient recovery in Phase 2 and documents and charges as needed.
• Maintains nursing records and privacy; ensures accurate traceability of endoscopes and equipment.
