Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking an Endoscope Processing Technician to evaluate, troubleshoot, disassemble, assemble, and inspect endoscopes and TEE probes under department leadership. You will maintain service records and follow infection control standards while ensuring a clean work environment.

Responsibilities include leak testing, high-level disinfection, cleaning, stocking supplies, transporting scopes for repair, QC of chemicals, and operating reprocessors and ultrasound/leak-test equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with processing endoscopy equipment/instrumentation
• Demonstrated competency in adherence to infection control standards
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction

Responsibilities

• Leak test, clean and high level disinfect endoscopes, TEE probes, endocavitary probes and related items
• Clean, high level disinfects accessory equipment
• Manual clean endoscopes
• Stock supplies for the department and order as needed
• Transporting scopes for repair
• QC of detergents, chemicals, agents, and equipment
• Operate Automated Endoscope Reprocessors and related equipment
• Maintain professional conduct and meet physical job requirements
