Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BCLS certificate within 30 days of hire preferred.
• At least one year of procedural or sterile processing experience.

Responsabilités

• Preparation: select supplies and equipment per the physician's plan of care and verify case supplies.
• Infection control: ensure instruments are clean, disinfected, and sterile; apply asepsis and patient safety principles.
• Procedure performance: assist in direct patient care under RN/Proceduralist guidance; keep the field organized and stocked.
• Patient care/safety: take vitals, monitor patient status, participate in Universal Protocol/Timeout, assist with patient positioning and specimen handling.
• Decontamination/sterile processing: clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment.
• Organizational standards: participate in committees and promote cost containment.
• Miscellaneous: assist with housekeeping, transport, storage, inventory, and issue resolution.
