This position involves maintaining scope integrity, patient transport, and contributing to continuous quality improvement in endoscopy services. A strong team mindset and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• CPR – Basic Life Support.
• Bachelor of Science Degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintains competencies in reprocessing of endoscopes and operating scope washers.
• Identifies actual or potential problems with endoscopes and assists in repair coordination.
• Maintains documentation regarding inventory and repair of endoscopes.
• Uses proper patient identification procedures in transporting patients.
• Safely transports patients by wheelchair or stretcher.
• Expedites daily schedule and ensures efficient turnover between procedures.
• Locates, obtains, and restocks supplies and equipment.
• Performs services requiring technical and manual skills under physician/nurse direction.
• Maintains a clean and orderly environment.
• Assists nurse in preparation of patient before and after the procedure.
