Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC in Los Angeles is seeking a Scope Processing Technician II to ensure the cleaning, disinfection, and preparation of endoscopes and related equipment for procedures. You will follow strict protocols to prevent infections and support safe patient care.

This non-exempt, full-time evening shift requires 2–3 years in OR/SPD environments, relevant certifications, and the ability to learn new techniques while maintaining documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology/ Sterile Processing program required by 2026.
• 2–3 years in OR/SPD/GI environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates endoscopes and probes according to IFU.
• Prepares/ maintains equipment and PPE per protocol.
• Reprocesses endoscopes using AER units.
• Performs High-Level Disinfectant monitoring as required.
• Maintains department cleanliness, restocking, and documentation.
• Trains and guides new staff on endoscopy equipment.
