Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative in Endocrinology for per diem shifts. You will support clinical and administrative functions, taking vitals, preparing patients, and entering information into the EMR.

Strong customer service and communication are essential, with experience in EMR systems (Athena a plus) and MS Office. Responsibilities include registration, scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Education from approved medical assistant/medical secretary program preferred.
• One to three years as a medical assistant or medical secretary preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers to deliver patient care and prepare patients for visits.
• Record patient history and vitals in EMR accurately.
• Register patients, verify demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and testing; manage pre-visit planning.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to department policies.
