Job summary

The Indiana University Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse Coordinator in Endocrinology to lead the RN Triage team and Medical Assistants across outpatient sites. This role combines clinical leadership with care coordination to support efficient workflows and high-quality patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have ambulatory nursing leadership experience, strong critical-thinking skills, and a passion for mentoring staff while driving clinical excellence within the Endocrinology

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing and an active RN license in Indiana.
• Ambulatory care experience preferred (2 years).
• Endocrinology experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to coordinate multiple clinic locations and staff.
• Strong interpersonal and stress management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership of the RN Triage team and Medical Assistants across the Endocrinology service line.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor nursing and support staff.
• Support care coordination across outpatient locations.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in quality improvement and workflow optimization.
