Job summary

Freeman Health seeks an endocrinology nurse practitioner to provide comprehensive patient care in collaboration with endocrinologists and other health professionals. The APRN will perform primary care within specialized knowledge, under a collaborative agreement with a physician licensed in Missouri.

Responsibilities include history taking, physical exams, ordering tests, and initiating treatment for acute or chronic conditions.

Qualifications

• APRN with advanced practice authority under Missouri Nurse Practice Act.
• Must enter into and maintain a collaborative practice agreement with a physician licensed in Missouri.
• Authorized to deliver health care services, diagnose and initiate treatment for acute or chronic patients within scope.

Responsibilities

• Completes medical history and performs physical assessment.
• Creates and updates patient problem lists.
• Orders labs, imaging and other tests as indicated.
• Interprets data to determine diagnosis and treatment.
