Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support Endocrinology in the Charlotte area. You will perform rooming, collect vitals, patient history, and health screenings, and assist providers with procedures. CLIA-waived tests and vaccines may be performed per protocol.

Strong communication, teamwork, and basic computer skills are required. There is a PRN as needed schedule with variable hours and a pay range reflective of part-time roles in this region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or DD214 in lieu of a program.
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and department policies.
• Record vital signs, med history, and health maintenance tasks.
• Assist provider with procedures and labs; perform venipuncture and POCT per orders.
• Administer medications and vaccines following safety protocols.
• Coordinate scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations.
