Qualifications

• Basic medical knowledge and terminology. Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts them to the clinical area; collects vital signs and medication history.
• Transcribes and updates patient information in the EMR.
• Prepares patient charts and completes administrative tasks related to patient care.
• Performs in-office testing as directed by the provider and coordinates ancillary services.
• Collects, prepares and processes specimens as directed by the provider; logs results.
• Maintains inventory and cleanliness of examination rooms and equipment.
• Educates colleagues on procedures and new techniques within the office.
