The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care with emphasis on Endocrine Surgery. This 1.0 FTE, salaried role is based in Milwaukee, WI at Froedtert Hospital and collaborates in a multidisciplinary team for patient care, safety, research and teaching.

Qualifications

• Advanced Practice Nurse: Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in PA Studies from ARC-PA-accredited program.
• Licensure: Wisconsin RN/Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber; NCCPA/BLS; DEA registration.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with surgical oncology teams for endocrine/pancreatic cases.
• Write progress, procedure, admission and transfer notes.
• Order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests and communicate results.
• Assist and perform procedures beyond core scope as allowed by privileges.
• Ensure continuity of care with patients, families and staff.
• Participate in preop/postop care and educate patients/families.
