Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Endocrine Surgery team, primarily based at Clearfork in Fort Worth. The APP will partner with endocrine surgery faculty to support care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.

The role blends clinic, operating room, inpatient rounding, and telehealth responsibilities. Travel to other UT Southwestern locations, including Dallas main campus, for cross-coverage and training is

Qualifications

• One year of relevant clinical experience preferred.
• Operating room or endocrine surgery experience preferred.
• PA with ARC-PA accredited program or NP with APRN education and Texas license is required or compatible.
• ACLS certification required per UT Southwestern policy.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis.
• Synthesizes data and develops the plan of care with tests and imaging as needed.
• Demonstrates proficiency in technical/procedural skills relevant to endocrine surgery.
• Provides management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients and families.
• Participates in quality initiatives and clinical research protocols to improve practice.
• Collaborates on research and applies evidence-based care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
