Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to assist physicians in endoscopic and interventional procedures, maintain instruments and supplies, and support ambulatory care and endoscopy teams.

The role requires a high school diploma, GI/OR technology background preferred, and 4 years of endoscopy tech experience, with BCLS certification. Candidates will handle charting, clerical duties, and ensure cleanliness and compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or GED required; GI/OR Technology program preferred.
• Work Experience: 4 years Endoscopy Tech experience required.
• Licenses and Certifications: BCLS - current AHA BLS certification required; GTS/AGTS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in endoscopic and interventional cases.
• Maintain Endoscopy Department supplies and equipment in proper order.
• Clean and disinfect equipment according to policy.
• Provide patient care under RN supervision in Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy.
• Perform clerical duties to assure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy.
• Assemble and maintain patient chart material; maintain records and files; keep workstation orderly.
• Complete charges for patients.

Cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy. Provides appropriate patient care to the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Performance of clerical duties as necessary to assure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy. Assemble and maintain patient chart material, maintain records and files, maintains order, cleanliness of the workstation. Completes charges for patients.
