Piedmont Rockdale Hospital in Conyers, GA is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to assist physicians during endoscopic and interventional procedures. You will help maintain the Endoscopy Department's supplies and equipment and ensure patient comfort under RN direction.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, with 4 years of endoscopy tech experience preferred; BLS certification is required on hire, and GI/OR tech certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• GI/OR Technology program preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist the physician in endoscopic and interventional cases.

• Clean and disinfect equipment according to policy.
• Provide patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Perform clerical duties to ensure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy.
• Assemble and maintain patient chart material, maintain records and files, maintain order and cleanliness of workstation.
• Complete charges for patients.

Responsibilities:

Assists the physician in the performance of endoscopic and various complex interventional cases. Maintains supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department in proper working order. Cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy. Provides appropriate patient care to the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Performance of clerical duties as necessary to assure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy. Assemble and maintain patient chart material, maintain records and files, maintains order, cleanliness of the workstation. Completes charges for patients.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Graduate of GI/OR Technology program Preferred

Work Experience

• 4 years Four (4) years of Endoscopy Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Current AHA BLS Certification required. Upon Hire Required
• GTS Certification Preferred
• AGTS Certification Preferred
