Job summary

Mercy South Surgery Center is seeking an RN to provide patient care using the nursing process, while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Responsibilities include coordinating care with other departments and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers.

Preference given to pre-op/PACU experience. Graduate of an accredited RN program with current state license and BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in line with Mercy mission, values and Service Standards.
