Job summary

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join a facility with 5 OR rooms and 3 treatment rooms. The RN will provide care for patients undergoing operative procedures, including adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence.

Work is Monday–Friday, with early mornings and possible later evenings; no holidays or weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Texas license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR, ACLS and PALS.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures.
• Care for adult patients including geriatric and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence.
• Support care across gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management, ophthalmology, and general surgery.

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights is seeking a motivated Operating Room Nurse to join our team. We have 5 OR rooms and 3 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence. Our scope of service includes gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management, ophthalmology, and general surgery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum Two Years Previous OR Experience.
• Current Texas license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR, ACLS and PALS.
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
• Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse.
