Bay Area Houston Endoscopy in Webster, TX is seeking an Endoscopy Tech to support GI procedures under the GI/Endoscopy Nurse. You will help prepare and sterilize equipment, maintain a sterile environment, and assist with specimen handling and room turnover.

The role requires a Surgical Technology program background (preferred), 1 year acute care experience, and a valid BCLS. Benefits and equal opportunity employment are highlighted by the facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
• One-year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sanitary environment for the patient.
• Demonstrate knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment.
• Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure availability of GI equipment and supplies.
• Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case.
• Assist in the maintenance, care and labeling of specimens.
• Identify specimen with the surgeon and pass to the circulating RN.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Endoscopy Tech, under the direction of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse, you will contribute to the company’s mission and vision by assisting with the care of patients undergoing GI/Endoscopy procedures.

What you will do in this role:
