Job summary

Trinity Park Surgery Center, part of HCA Healthcare, Arlington, TX, is seeking an Endoscopy Tech (PRN) to assist with GI/Endoscopy procedures under the direction of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse. You will maintain a sanitary environment, assist with disinfection of endoscopy equipment, prepare the unit and necessary GI supplies, and help prepare rooms between procedures.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, one-year acute care experience (ambulatory surgery

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• One-year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Valid BCLS certification upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sanitary environment for the patient.
• Demonstrate knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment.
• Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies.
• Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case.
• Assist in the maintenance, care and labeling of specimens.
• Identify specimen with the surgeon and pass to the circulating RN.
