Job summary

The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, part of HCA Houston Healthcare, is seeking an Endoscopy Technician PRN in Houston, TX. You will prepare rooms and equipment, assist during GI/endoscopy procedures, and help ensure safe, compassionate patient care while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.

Qualifications include BCLS, a high school diploma or GED, and 1+ year of experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities within a nationally recognized health system.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verify proper operation, keep supplies stocked.
• Assist with patient positioning and safe transport using proper body mechanics.
• Support physicians and nurses during procedures, handle instruments and specimens.
• Clean, disinfect and sterilize endoscopy equipment and maintain accurate quality/safety records.
• Communicate with patients and families with kindness, protecting privacy and comfort.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Endoscopy Technician, you’ll play an important role in helping provide safe, effective procedures to patients undergoing GI and endoscopy procedures. Your careful work preparing equipment and maintaining a clean, well-organized environment will help protect patients and empower caregivers to deliver on our shared mission to improve more lives in more ways.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order, and keeping supplies organized and stocked
• Helping position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect both patients and yourself
• Supporting physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practices
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping accurate records for quality and safety
• Communicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed, and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout their care

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• High School Graduate / GED
• 1 or more years of Experience is Required.
