Job summary

UT-Battelle's Oak Ridge National Laboratory is seeking an IT Technologist to support end-user computing across Windows, Macintosh, Linux, and mobile devices. You will join the Client and Service Management group within the Digital Services Infrastructure & Operations division under the IT Services Directorate.

Responsibilities include incident resolution, documentation, and knowledge base contributions. The role covers operating systems, email, backup, AD, software updates, vulnerability

Qualifications

• AS degree in technology or related field with 2-3 years of aligned experience.
• Experience supporting Macintosh and Windows platforms in an enterprise environment.
• Experience providing white glove support for executive staff.
• Prior experience in helpdesk and field support.
• Ability to communicate clearly, multitask, and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain information technology systems and resources and software products installed.
• Configure, troubleshoot, modify, and repair computers and related equipment.
• Provide problem resolution for software errors.
• Support ORNL’s executive staff and develop technical documentation for staff and end-users.
• Provide remote and deskside IT support and contribute to knowledge base articles.
