Job summary

VITAS Healthcare Corporation in Florida seeks an IT professional to maintain and optimize virtual desktop infrastructure, endpoints and cloud systems. You will implement VMware solutions, manage Workspace ONE, and collaborate on updates for desktops, mobile devices, and VDI infrastructure.

The role requires strong scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python), ITIL knowledge, and the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams to improve security, reliability and user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; international equivalent accepted.
• Experience creating operational procedures and scope policies.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highly available, stable, secure and recoverable databases meeting SLAs.
• Collaborate on framework for updates of desktop images, devices, and VDI.
• Implement VMware solutions for virtualization, networking, and storage.
• Investigate user-reported issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in design decisions affecting computing within the company.
• Hands-on VMware and cloud experience to support end user computing.
• Maintain mobile device management such as Workspace ONE UEM.
• Contribute to product documentation and user manuals.
• Perform system maintenance as required.
• Coordinate IT Change Control with the Client Experience team.
• Design and implement tech solutions with redundancy, scalability and security.
• Assist in maintaining a KPI dashboard for team performance.
• Develop computing solutions enhancing end-user experience.
• Oversee QA including pilot groups to ensure high-quality output.
• Collaborate with IT Support for knowledge transfer and alignment.
• Create a consistent user experience across iOS, Windows, Mac, VDI, and video devices.
• Identify policy/procedure improvements and provide recommendations.
• Perform other duties as required.
