Job summary

Scrunch is hiring a Product Engineer to build and ship product end-to-end, spanning frontend, backend, and product decisions. You’ll operate without a playbook, using modern AI tools to move faster and increase leverage, while shaping what gets built and why it matters.

You’ll contribute to architecture, design reusable systems, and collaborate with engineers, PMs, and designers to deliver high-quality features that drive user value.

Qualifications

• Experience building and shipping product, either as an engineer, product manager, or designer.
• Strong product thinking with a focus on user outcomes.
• Comfortable operating without a playbook and making pragmatic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build & Ship Product: own features end-to-end from idea to production across frontend and backend.
• Drive Product Decisions: translate ideas into shipped experiences, even when learning new tools.
• Create Leverage Through Systems: build reusable components and workflows to speed up the team.
• Move Fast with AI: use tools like Claude, Codex, Cursor to accelerate development and debugging.
• Iterate & Improve: ship fast, gather feedback, and balance speed with maintainability.
• Contribute to Architecture: help design scalable systems and avoid over-engineering.
