Job summary

Babs is building a smart collaborative operating system for modern households. We’re seeking a Full-Stack Product Engineer to design and implement end-to-end features across the stack, from frontend interfaces to AI-powered backend workflows.

You’ll shape the app foundations, work with founders and product teams, and help define performance, reliability, and developer experience as we scale in a fast-moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building high-quality consumer-facing web/mobile apps.
• Experience in AI-native development environments and using AI IDEs.
• Strong fluency in JavaScript or TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React or React Native).
• Backend API development experience including authentication/authorization and relational data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build full-stack projects end-to-end from prototypes to platform elements.
• Create intuitive, responsive interfaces that simplify complex interactions.
• Collaborate with design to translate prototypes into production experiences.
• Integrate APIs, event pipelines, and real-time data flows with platform engineers.
• Ensure code quality, testing, and observability across the stack.
• Contribute to architectural discussions on scalability and performance.
• Move quickly while maintaining quality and iterating with users.
