Job summary

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc (CVG) is seeking a design engineer to design wiper systems and components, manage projects from concept to production, and apply CAD data for development and improvements.

The role requires an engineering degree and 3–5+ years of related experience, with knowledge of Creo and manufacturing processes. Travel to CVG facilities and customers may be required.

Qualifications

• Relevant Engineering or Engineering Technology degree is required.
• 3–5+ years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Desirable CAD methods, FEA, kinematics, simulation tools and mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Design layouts based on customer CAD data and specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates for new or revised designs.
• Manage design projects from concept through production.
• Gather data from customer input or site visits to debug or improve prototypes.
• Develop and document procedures per IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
• Verify designs meet specifications and provide technical product expertise.
