Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a versatile software engineer to build and deliver customer-facing features end to end, across frontend and backend. You will collaborate with Customer Success and Product to translate requests and bug reports into tangible features across Payments, Dispute Management, API, and more.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in React and at least 1 year of backend experience, with a customer-focused mindset and strong communication.

Qualifications

3+ years building React applications with React, React Query and React Router.
At least one year of backend experience in any language; Ruby on Rails or Java experience not required but willing to work with them.
Customer-focused and results-driven, not just code.
Comfort moving between different products and codebases.
Strong communication and team-first approach.
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Build and deliver customer-facing features end to end, across both frontend and backend.
Work with Customer Success and Product to turn customer requests and bug reports into delivered features.
Work across product and technology areas including Payments, Account Takeover, Dispute Management, Console, Workflows, and API.
Contribute to backend services in our stack (Ruby on Rails, Java) and become familiar with them over time.
Help maintain our tooling and engineering practices so the team can continue to deliver reliably.
