Job summary

IQ Fiber is seeking a Construction Coordinator to manage residential and commercial fiber construction projects from start to finish. This role owns the full project lifecycle, including field surveys, permitting, BOM development, NTP packages, subcontractor oversight, quality control, and as-built verification.

This is a hands‑on, field-based role that requires strong field presence, cross‑functional coordination, and the ability to troubleshoot and make sound decisions independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; two‑year degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of telecommunications construction experience.
• Experience with field surveys, budgeting, and BOMs including GPON.
• Certifications such as NCTI, SCTE, or BCT/E preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; able to learn new systems including Vetro.

Responsibilities

• Own construction projects end-to-end from survey to closeout and ensure quality service.
• Conduct field surveys, design route paths, and plan entry points for service delivery.
• Obtain permits and easements; verify compliance before work begins.
• Create BOMs, manage material orders, and coordinate with contractors.
• Issue NTP packages and assign work to subcontractors; approve final billing.
• Perform field verification to ensure designs meet specs and monitor safety.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues; protect timelines and costs.
• Record as-built data and bore logs for documentation.
• Submit regular reports on construction activity and progress.
