Job summary

ManpowerGroup works with a local Traverse City client seeking a CNC Turn/Mill Operator to join the production team. The role involves setting up and operating Mori Seiki and Doosan SMX CNC machines to produce precision components, reading blueprints, and performing ongoing process verification.

You will read GD&T, perform first-piece inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure parts meet tight dimensional requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC turning and milling equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Use precision measuring tools and maintain quality standards.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving, with basic G-code understanding.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run Mori Seiki and Doosan SMX CNC machines to produce precision components.
• Edit programs and adjust tools and offsets as needed.
• Read blueprints and GD&T to ensure tight tolerances.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues while maintaining productivity.
