Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Building Enclosure Project Specialist in Cleveland, Ohio to support design and construction phases, including enclosure consulting and commissioning. The role involves evaluating and repairing building envelopes for new and existing structures, with travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities include field testing, QA observations, site visits, and documenting conditions. Strong communication, organization and ability to manage multiple projects are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering is required.
• 7+ years’ experience in Building Enclosure is acceptable in lieu of the degree.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, roofing, and enclosure systems.
• Experience with construction administration, progress observation and site inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform field performance and water leakage testing on roofing, windows, air barriers and curtain walls.
• Monitor construction to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and warranty procedures.
• Conduct site visits and construction administration tasks at jobsites.
• Assist with forensic investigations and documentation of existing conditions.
• Prepare professional field reports and notes for enclosure reviews.
• Learn to review architectural drawings, shop drawings and submittals for enclosure elements.
• Create sketches and details using Bluebeam and hand-drawn techniques.
