Job summary

Intertek’s Building Science Solutions team in Cleveland, Ohio seeks a Building Enclosure Project Specialist to support design, commissioning and evaluation of building enclosure systems. You will travel frequently (≈25%), conduct field testing, and provide documentation of conditions and performance.

The role requires a relevant engineering or architectural background, strong project management, and hands-on experience with site inspections and construction administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering with 2+ years’ Building Enclosure experience OR 7+ years’ Building Enclosure experience in lieu of degree.
• Working knowledge of building construction, roofing and enclosure systems.
• Ability to perform field visits and office tasks; travel 25% as needed.
• Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform field performance testing and water leakage testing of roofing, windows, air barriers and curtain walls.
• Provide quality assurance observations and monitor construction to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Conduct site visits, construction administration and documentation of existing conditions.
• Assist with forensic investigations and prepare field reports.
• Learn building enclosure reviews of drawings, shop drawings and submittals.
