Job summary

Cates Control Systems in Plano, TX is hiring a Layout / Staging Technician. You will layout hardware per drawings, drill and install parts on back panels, and keep all paperwork with the panel. Work shifts include two options, with potential overtime.

Requirements: high school diploma or GED, about 2 years of experience, ability to lift 75 pounds, read wiring diagrams, and experience with UL508A/NEC. This is a hands-on role demanding good time management and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years prior experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds.
• Ability to read wiring schematic.
• UL508A and NEC experience.

Responsibilities

• Login to the appropriate software database based on the project number.
• Layout all hardware and materials according to drawings.
• Drill and install all parts onto the back panel.
• Keep all paperwork with the panel.
• Ensure all empty boxes are kept until shipment.
• Return unused hardware for the back pan or enclosure.
