Job summary

Synopsys Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA seeks an experienced Emulation Applications Engineer to support customer verification flows on ZeBu/Palladium/Zebu/Veloce platforms.

You will collaborate with customer teams, lead bring-up, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and optimize testbenches across RTL, software stacks, and hardware configurations. You have 6–10 years in IC design/verification or emulation, strong HDL/C/C++ skills, and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly with global customers.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of hands-on IC design, verification, emulation, or FPGA prototyping.
• Proficiency with Verilog/VHDL and SystemVerilog for testbenches.
• Working knowledge of C/C++ for software validation and performance analysis.
• Experience with hardware emulation platforms (Palladium, Zebu, Veloce).
• Strong problem-solving and excellent communication across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure emulation platforms and lead bring-up, debugging, and optimization.
• Troubleshoot issues across RTL, testbenches, software stacks, and platform config.
• Lead pre-sales technical evaluations and PoC engagements for customer designs.
• Collaborate with customer engineering teams to resolve design-specific challenges.
• Create technical content to help customers adopt emulation across verification flows.
• Stay current on verification methodologies and provide field feedback to R&D.
