Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• Current AHA CPR and First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to understand and follow departmental policies in emergency medical care delivery.
• Read, understand, and retain information in technical materials, rules and procedures.
• Learn to read and interpret GIS and street maps and navigate streets.
• Learn to operate EMT equipment and maintain radio equipment.
• Learn to identify hazardous materials and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain good academic standing to take the registry exam and complete assignments.
• Attend all classes and clinical assignments with 100% attendance.
• Commit to 12 weeks of full-time training, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
