Job summary

Cataldo Ambulance Business Trust is seeking a full-time EMT-B to join our Boston area operations in Malden, MA. The EMT-B will provide safe emergency and non-emergency transport, perform basic life support, and document care following state protocols.

On-site duties include vehicle checks, equipment maintenance, and daily PCR submissions. Requirements include MA EMT certification, high school diploma or GED, and 0–4 years EMS experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current MA EMT certification in good standing with DPH OEMS.
• 2–4 years EMS experience preferred; 0–1 years acceptable.
• Experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office.
• Able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care per policies and protocols.
• Assess injuries/illnesses and provide basic life support on scene and transport.
• Attend to patients courteously and professionally.
• Operate ambulance per safety rules and regulations.
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure equipment readiness.
• Accurately record and submit PCR documentation daily.
• Document patient interventions in pre-hospital setting.
• Communicate effectively with minimal supervision and leadership.
• Maintain EMS knowledge and comply with company guidelines.
• Keep required certifications current and provide copies.
• Maintain reliable attendance and perform housekeeping duties.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
