Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Analytical Engineering Consultant in Houston for hybrid work. The role focuses on EMT analysis of power systems, performing complex TOV/TRV calculations and insulation coordination using PSCAD/EMTP-RV. You will prepare detailed reports and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Ideal candidates hold a B.E. in Electrical Engineering, with 10+ years in time-domain analysis; a Master’s/PhD is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with strong power systems background.
• 10+ years in time-domain analysis of power systems.
• Experience with PSCAD/EMTP-RV for complex calculations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform time-domain electrical analysis to evaluate system performance and identify issues.
• Calculate TOV, TRV, switching studies, and insulation coordination.
• Develop solutions to optimize system performance and mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document findings in reports.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and new tech in time-domain analysis.
