Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist at the Kissimmee plasma center. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results under center physician guidance.

Role requires EMT/RN/LPN licensure as applicable, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Extensive regulatory knowledge is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Licensed or certified in the state of responsibilities: EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.
• Fulfill state basic IV therapy requirements and FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, medical history, and eligibility criteria.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical/technical issues.
• Support vaccination programs and incident reporting as applicable.
