Job summary

Payson City is seeking motivated and qualified EMTs to work part-time. Shifts run from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. under the supervision of the Fire Chief, responding to emergencies within the Payson City response area and providing essential medical care.

Minimum qualifications include being 21+, high school diploma, ability to read/write English, and EMT-B certification. EMT-Advanced certification is welcomed. Compensation starts at $18 per hour with EMT-B and $19 per hour with EMT-Advanced.

• Must be able to read and write the English Language. Must have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Must posses EMT-B Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic and advanced emergency medical care and provides other patient care assistance as required.
• Operates ground ambulances safely to deliver proper patient care and transportation.
• Participates in training, attends classes in emergency medical care and related subjects.
• Maintains emergency medical equipment, vehicles and facilities.
• Performs general maintenance work in the upkeep of facilities and equipment.

Job description

Compensation and Benefits
