Job description

Location: Mesa, AZ.

Hourly Range: $17.69 - $21.14.

Preferred Experience: 2-3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Apply EMT skills for communication, medical equipment handling, cleaning procedures, and use of office equipment and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws related to emergency medical response vehicles.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.

Other Responsibilities

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT license.
• State driver’s license.
• BLS, NREMT certification.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass physical agility test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Optional Preferred Qualifications

Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays, extended workdays. Long periods inside the ambulance. May work indoors or outdoors with exposure to weather. Possible routine exposure to moderate noise levels. May periodically work in poorly lit environments in a moving vehicle.

Moderate to extended amounts of sitting, standing, and walking. Some repetitive motions. Routinely lifting more than 200 lbs. with assistance. Pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, carrying, typing and stair climbing. Visual identification of color-coded items. Clear speech and hearing. Must be able to wear a face mask or respirator with proper fit for extended periods when required.
