Qualifications

• Must hold current license to practice in the state of operation.
• EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-A, Paramedic, LPN/LVN, or RN license accepted.
• Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related program (e.g., Nursing, Physician Assistant, or advanced EMT).
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience in plasma or blood collection is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and donor care commitment.
• Familiarity with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP regulations is beneficial.
• Ability to work in regulated environments with bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor eligibility for plasmapheresis and immunization programs.
• Review donor health history and lab results with Center Medical Director as needed.
• Educate donors on donation process, risks, benefits, and consent.
• Administer immunizations and monitor adverse reactions.
• Respond to donor reactions with appropriate treatment and escalate when needed.
• Maintain emergency medical equipment and readiness.
• Notify donors of positive viral marker results and provide counseling.
• Participate in safety committees and staff education on protocols.
• Assist with plasmapheresis and whole blood procedures when needed.
• Maintain donor charts and ensure proper documentation.
