Job summary

Kedrion Biopharma Inc. is seeking a healthcare professional to support donor safety and the plasma donation process in a clinical setting. You will evaluate donor eligibility, manage medical incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance while providing a positive donor experience.

You will collaborate with the Center Medical Director to administer immunizations, educate donors, and monitor reactions, maintaining readiness of medical equipment and donor records in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice in the state where the center operates.
• Acceptable licenses include EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-A, Paramedic, LPN, LVN, or RN.
• Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related program (e.g., Nursing, Physician Assistant, or advanced EMT).
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience in plasma or blood collection is a plus.
• Familiarity with FDA/OSHA/CLIA and cGMP regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform donor eligibility assessments for plasmapheresis and immunization programs.
• Review donor health history and labs to determine suitability with medical direction input.
• Educate donors on the donation process, risks, benefits and consent.
• Administer immunizations and monitor adverse reactions with proper documentation.
• Respond to donor reactions and escalate when needed.
• Maintain emergency medical equipment and donor safety readiness.
• Notify donors of positive viral marker results and provide counseling.
• Participate in safety committee activities and staff education.
• Assist with plasmapheresis and whole blood procedures when needed.
• Maintain donor charts and review medical incidents; promote a safe donor experience.
