Job summary

Kedrion Biopharma Inc. is seeking EMTs, Paramedics, or LPNs/LVNs to support donor safety in a fast-paced plasma donation setting.

You will evaluate donor eligibility, manage medical incidents, and collaborate with the Center Medical Director to ensure regulatory compliance and a positive donor experience. You will perform donor exams, review health histories, administer immunizations, monitor for adverse reactions, and maintain emergency medical equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed to practice in the state where the center operates.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform donor eligibility assessments for plasmapheresis and immunization programs.
• Review donor health history and lab results; consult the Center Medical Director as needed.
• Educate donors on the donation process, risks, benefits, and informed consent.
• Administer immunizations and monitor adverse reactions; document procedures.
• Respond to donor reactions with appropriate treatment and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain and monitor emergency medical equipment and ensure readiness.
• Notify donors of positive viral marker results and provide confidential counseling.
• Participate in safety committee activities and educate staff on protocols.
• Manage employee immunization programs and ensure SOP/compliance.
• Assist with plasmapheresis and whole blood procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in donor charts; review medical incidents.
