Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of EMT training and certification (EMT-8) as required locally.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills under stressful conditions.
• Must pass background and safety checks as specified by Jan-Care/GEMS.

Responsibilities

• Attend orientation and EMS operations training sessions.
• Provide out-of-hospital care and safe ambulance transport.
• Lift and move patients and equipment safely.
• Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and medical staff.
• Operate EMS equipment and maintain vehicle readiness.
• Respond to emergency calls and assist other personnel as needed.
