Job summary

Penn State Health Life Lion Lancaster is seeking an EMT to respond to emergencies, assess patients and provide treatment in line with PA DOH BLS standards. The role includes patient transport and assisting ALS providers, with comprehensive documentation.

Qualified candidates will hold PA EMT certification (or reciprocity), AHA BLS, a valid driver’s license, EMSVO within 30 days, HazMat awareness, and NIMS training within 30 days. Sign-on bonus and tuition assistance are offered.

Qualifications

• EMT in PA or eligible for reciprocity if certified in another state.
• BLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Valid driver's license or PA license eligibility.
• EMSVO certification within 30 days of start date.
• HazMat awareness and NIMS 100/200/700/800 within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies and assess patients on scene.
• Provide treatment per PA DOH BLS curriculum and transport patients.
• Assist ALS providers with patient care and documentation.
• Perform non-emergency medical transports using ambulances and wheelchairs vans.
