Job summary

Penn State Health Hershey Division is seeking an EMT for the Life Lion EMS team. You will respond to emergencies, assess patients, provide treatment per PA DOH BLS curriculum, and transport patients under established protocols.

This full-time role offers a $3,500 sign-on bonus for eligible hires and a 75% tuition discount for you and eligible dependents. The position requires PA EMT certification eligibility and driving/EVOC readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AHA BLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Eligibility for Pennsylvania EMT certification required.
• Valid Driver’s license required and eligible to operate an EMS vehicle in PA.
• EVOC training within 2 months of hire.
• PA DOH EMSVO eligibility within 2 months of hire.
• Hazmat Awareness Training within 30 days; NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies and assess patients.
• Provide treatment per PA DOH BLS standard and transport as needed.
• Assist ALS providers with patient care and complete documentation.
