Job summary

Penn State Health Life Lion EMS is recruiting a Paramedic/PHRN for urgent care on 911 incidents and transport. The role emphasizes ALS delivery, rapid patient assessment, and teamwork with a diverse EMS crew.

Qualified candidates hold Paramedic/PHRN credentials, BLS/ACLS/PALS in time, and PA licensing eligibility, with completion timelines on 30-90 days. This is a full-time on-site position with strong benefits and tuition discounts.

Qualifications

• Current Paramedic or PHRN certification.
• AHA BLS certification within six months of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within 30 days of start date.
• Valid PA driver’s license or eligibility for PA license.
• PA DOH EMSVO certification within 30 days of start date.
• HazMat Awareness and NIMS 100/200/700/800 within 30 days.
• Must obtain Medical Command within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Administer advanced life support care on 911 incidents and during transport.
• Collaborate with Life Lion EMS team to ensure patient stabilization and safety.
• Maintain equipment and ensure readiness for rapid response.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Current certification as a Paramedic or PHRN in the Commonwealth of PA or eligible for and completion of reciprocity process, if certified in another state.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 30 days of start date.


• Valid Driver's license or eligible for a Commonwealth of PA driver's license if out of state.


• PA DOH EMSVO certification within 30 days of start date.


• HazMat Awareness Training and NIMS (100, 200, 700, 800) required within 30 days of start date.
