Mount Hood Community College is seeking an on-site EMT course assistant to support lab activities, scenarios, and student skill practice. You will help set up labs, run simulations, and assist students under the supervision of the EMT program staff.

The role requires an EMT license in good standing, at least one year of EMT experience, and teaching experience, along with current CPR/BLS certification. Prior lab operation and safety compliance are valued.

Qualificações

• Current EMT license in good standing with Oregon EMS.
• At least 1 year of EMT experience.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the set up and break down of lab materials and equipment for courses.
• Assist in creating scenarios and simulations to assess student critical thinking, skills and interactions.
• Aid students with practicing technical skills in the lab.
• Assess student performance in skill practice, scenarios and simulations per Oregon Health Authority framework.
• Communicate with the course instructor, EMT program director and staff regarding expectations and student certification.
• Promote a safe class environment and ensure OSHA and college requirements are met.
• Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment.
• Track inventory of supplies and notify the director when replenishment is needed.
