Job summary

Oakton College is seeking a part-time EMT-P skills lab supervisor to oversee simulations, manage the EMS lab inventory, and support student progress in the EMT-P program.

The role requires active paramedic licensure, instructor credentials, and strong communication with students and staff. The position entails irregular hours and collaboration with the Paramedic System Program Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Current IDPH Paramedic license is required.
• Minimum of two years as a licensed paramedic.
• IDPH Lead Instructor licensure and/or NAEMSE Instructor Part I required.
• AHA BLS CPR certification is required.
• Fire Service Instructor I Certification is required.
• EMT-B/EMT-P training experience is preferred.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with AV equipment.

Responsibilities

• Direct operational activities and provide instructional support in the EMT-P lab.
• Supervise and guide students; document progress in the laboratory.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate with Paramedic Lead Instructor and Program Chair.
