Job summary

Mercy Health System seeks Emergency Medical Technicians to provide direct patient care, including assessment and basic life support, following Mercy standards and the Employee Code of Conduct. EMT-I duties may include clerical, dispatch, and maintenance tasks as needed.

Required: EMT licensure for the state, valid driver’s license, Hazmat Awareness, BLS, and NIMS 100/200/700/800 within 90 days of hire; applicants must be at least 19 years old. Shifts may vary.

Qualifications

• EMT license for the state where employed, valid driver’s license
• Hazmat Awareness certification
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
• NIMS 100, 200, 700 and 800 within 90 days of hire
• Applicants must be at least 19 years old

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and basic life support
• EMT-I may also perform clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties as required
• Work in accordance with Mercy Health System goals, philosophy, Standard of Care, and Employee Code of Conduct
